Modernizing HIPAA-regulated healthcare EDI on .NET
Six years on healthcare revenue-cycle software that processes EDI transactions under HIPAA and HITECH: new .NET APIs, legacy refactors, and the pipelines that ship them.
The problem
Enterprise healthcare clients rely on EDI processing that has to be correct and compliant, often on top of aging WebForms and MVC code and Windows Server 2012 environments.
What I built
- New .NET APIs and standalone utilities for enterprise healthcare clients, most recently on .NET 8.
- Refactors of legacy WebForms and MVC code into modern C# using standard design patterns.
- SQL Server work throughout, with T-SQL and stored procedures.
- CI/CD on Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy, and upgrades of aging Windows Server 2012 environments.
The result
- Legacy code moved onto modern, maintainable C#, under HIPAA and HITECH.
- Repeatable, automated deployments through Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy.
